Those who are associated with software configuration management understand how important configuration is for software projects, without which everything will be a hotchpotch, causing confusion, errors, and failures. Similarly, we need to understand how important it is to configure our minds regularly.

The brain takes actions as per the inputs or signals received from different parts and as per the external data or information received or events perceived.

To execute the required functions, the brain needs updated information and a clear set-up of the mind. We cannot allow different thoughts to accumulate and run in the mind simultaneously, while we want the brain to execute a particular task, needing top performance and excellent speed.

The mind needs to be in its current state for the brain to perform better. In that environment of the mind, the brain will be able to deploy its codes or signals in the correct and speedy way.

For that, there should be timely debugging of the mind so that waste thoughts and ideas can be cleaned out.

We should be able to constantly trace the states of the mind to ensure that the later is in its current state. Also, during the execution of tasks, the mind needs to remain stable.

Integration of relevant and updated ideas or thoughts is also very important. For that, the mind needs to exercise value streaming, in which only the value-added thoughts and ideas will be set in order.

Also, the brain should clearly know about the desired end result of a particular task.

Keep track of all the best practices regularly; find out the priorities and relevant levels of the best practices every now and then.

Keep notes of the new thoughts and ideas:

Note down the thoughts and ideas as they appear and preserve them for the right time of utilization. Keep reviewing the notes on a regular basis so that the right opportunities to explore cannot be missed (Heat the Iron, when Hot).

Bring judgemental stability:

Undergo intensive study-audio-video sessions, training and coaching seminars, brainstorming sessions, mind workouts, etc. to bring the mind to a level of judgmental stability.

Keep your mind open to getting adjusted to the required changes in the infrastructure.

Put filters in the information flow so that the brain is fed only relevant and accurate information. For that, it is important to keep yourself away from baseless and negative gossip, sites, and environments.

Keep the mind in its current state every day, as per the current specific task of the brain. The current state will, however, be dynamic, as per the current status of the tasks.

Verify the data or information received and make the necessary corrections and updates so that the brain can act faster and bigger.
